In 1993, motivational speakers Jack Canfield and Mark Victor Hansen decided to put together a book of 101 motivational stories to encourage and inspire people. Thus began the Chicken Soup for the Soul tradition. Today, there are thousands of titles under the series–some being Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul, for Mothers, even for the Chocolate Lovers Soul!
But why are these books called ‘Chicken Soup’? Because sometimes, being a child can be challenging. And on those hard days, when the world feels big and overwhelming, these books feel like a warm bowl of Chicken Soup–nourishing and comforting!
